Expanding to Serve Christ, Congregation and Our Community

Our Church, 

Community Christian Church of Marana - doing ministry and mission in Marana since 1953 - is ready to make a tremendous leap of faith: a new building project, renovating and expanding our current facility.  Since 2006, when the average worship attendance was 39, Community Christian has almost tripled in size.  Our Church is bursting at the seams, and running out of room.  We are seeing new people come to worship and other happenings each week - people who ought to be able to be included in our Church, its mission and its vision.  Additional space with more flexibility, with an attractive interior and exterior, will help us have more room to encourage their participation.

 

Our Goal

for this Capital Campaign is to raise $150,000.  The Campaign will run from Sunday, February 21 to Sunday, March 21.  During this time you will be receiving information in the mail and you will be contacted by team members to answer your questions.  We will be asking for pledges which can be paid to the church over a three-year period beginning May 2010.  You will receive materials that will explain the project further, provide ways to support it with prayer, and give guidelines for making pledges.  Please be in prayer for the Building Project and the Capital Campaign, and for God’s guidance for the role He has for each of us.

Our Plan

is to extend the current sanctuary through the breezeway area to the Children’s Center.  We will also be expanding the Children’s Center on the north side (toward Marana Health Center) to provide two classrooms and a youth room.  This will also provide useful space for the preschool program and added seating for church dinners and get-togethers.  The goal for completion is Fall 2010.
