The North Pima CROP Hunger Walk

Gather at The Oro Valley Marketplace 

1:30PM Registration, 2PM Walk

Each “CROP” event committee selects local organizations serving the hunger needs of the local community to receive 25% of the money raised through the walk.  The 2012 North Pima recipient will be Interfaith Community Services.

But what does the Bible have to say? What does Jesus tell us about the end times? In this series, we’ll explore various ideas found in the Bible about the end times. In addition, we’ll discuss why anxieties are unwarranted for Christians, and – when “the end” does come – what God has in store for us.

This sermon series is in three parts, and beginning on January 11, will go into more depth on these issues over a 6-week course at our Wednesday Night Study. Please join us as we explore together, “Is This The End?”

However, there is another, found in the Old Testament book of Ruth.  The story mostly takes place in Bethlehem.  It starts out tragically, but as the story progresses, new life is brought forth.  Though there is no star in this story, there are other things: hope, peace, love, and joy. And as the story unfolds, these shine brighter and brighter.

In this season of Advent, join us “Under the Bethlehem Star,” as we discover the various ways that the book of Ruth is deeply connected to the birth of our Savior.

Worship times at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. – both with great music, messages (by Pastors James and Dave), and candlelight.  The 6 p.m. worship will include a presentation of the gospel by the children.  The 8 p.m. worship will be more traditional. Our offering collected that evening will go toward Interfaith Community Services and the Marana Food Bank.

One worship time at 11 a.m. – including lots of singing, and a dinner afterward.  You will not need to bring anything for the meal.  Robin and Jim Stout, leading that effort, are requesting RSVPs by Thursday, Dec. 15 to assure we have enough food.  Please call your RSVP’s to the church office 520.682.4201.
