Office Hours during shutdown

Office Hours during shutdown

Our office will continue to be open during the shutdown. The office hours are Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm, and Wednesday from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm. We do ask that if you need to come to the office you respect the need for separation. Please stay on the side of the desk next to the door and don't be offended if we don't shake hands.

Prayer Knot

Prayer Knot

on Sundays we have a weekly prayer group, called “Prayer Knot,” using “Zoom” (an on-line platform). We start at 10 am, and go for 30 minutes. This gives those of you who normally worship at 8:45 am some time to get some breakfast after the livestream, and those of you who worship at 10:30 am can then go straight to the recorded service from the “Prayer Knot.” Here’s the link: https://zoom.us/j/513531419?pwd=Z2JzcWVIazFqSERGSWcvWGhyR0lsZz09. Meeting ID: 513 531 419. Password: Please email pastor@maranadisciples.org for the password. Dial by your location: +1 301 715 8592 US; +1 253 215 8782 US

Tithe and Offering

Tithe and Offering

You may be wondering how you can give to the church during this time. Here are a few options: You can mail us your tithe to P.O. Box 26, Marana, Az. 85653; You can click the green "Give" button below or the "Donate Online" button in the menu; or you can stop by the office during business hours. Thank you for your continued support.

Purchase with a Purpose

Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. (Proverbs 16:3; NIV)

Our church recently purchased property. Purchasing property is never a small undertaking. It involves a serious investment of time and money. And it should reflect the pursual of a significant purpose.

Our recent purchase of property at 12002 N. Puma Rd. reflects all of these. For the last three years, this has been the site of our Community Christian Outreach Center (CCOC), which we were renting until the purchase. It is from this site that we attempt – and often succeed! – to faithfully serve our neighbors, especially those who live in Avra Valley and surrounding areas.

Is Change the Only Constant?

This past Sunday, Katie Langendorfer led a children’s sermon on “changes.”  Katie herself is in the midst of a major life change with the recent passing of her husband Ron. She asked the kids if they had experienced any changes lately, and while they stayed unusually quiet, Katie pointed out that going back to school, with new teachers, was a big change in their lives.  Finally, my daughter mentioned that her brother just started college.  A big change indeed for our family. I keep expecting to hear the garage door opening and his car pulling in (with accompanying heavy bass sounds rattling the house).  We certainly are missing him, and still adjusting to this new dynamic.
